Purpose and Scope of This Privacy Notice

As NAR EMAYE DÖKÜM METAL SANAYİ VE TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ, we take measures to protect your personal data within the scope of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (referred to as the “KVKK” or the “Law”). We process your personal data in our capacity as “data controller”, within the framework of the KVKK and related legislation, for the reasons and by the methods explained below.

This Privacy Notice has been prepared pursuant to Article 10 of the KVKK, titled “Obligation of the Data Controller to Inform”, in order to inform you as transparently as possible about the identity of the data controller, the method of collection and the legal basis of your personal data, the purposes for which the data will be processed, to whom and for what purpose the data may be transferred, the data processing period, and the rights listed in Article 11 of the KVKK.

1. Data Controller and Its Representative

2. Personal Data Processed and the Purposes of Processing

Your personal data is collected and processed within the scope of the conditions and purposes of processing set out in Articles 5 and 6 of Law No. 6698, for the following purposes:

  • ensuring the safety of life and property of our customers, employees and visitors;
  • ensuring the security of our premises and of the movable property and resources located there;
  • preventing security vulnerabilities arising from the Company’s field of activity;
  • providing evidence to the competent authorities in the event of a dispute.

3. To Whom and For What Purpose Your Personal Data May Be Transferred

Access to the information obtained through monitoring is limited to a small number of employees. Where camera footage is requested in connection with a judicial matter, it may be transferred to the competent public authorities within the framework of the conditions and purposes of processing set out in Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK (for example, upon the written request of a public prosecutor or judge during the investigation of an incident). Apart from the situations listed above, your camera recording data is not shared with third parties and is not transferred abroad.

4. Method of Collection and Legal Basis of Your Personal Data

Your personal data is processed by automated means through the camera systems at our premises, on the legal basis set out in Article 5 of the Law: “processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject”.

Rights of the Data Subject Under Article 11 of Law No. 6698 and the Exercise of These Rights

Rights of data subjects whose personal data is processed

Data subjects whose personal data is processed have the following rights:

a. To learn whether their personal data is being processed;

b. To request information if their personal data has been processed;

c. To learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with that purpose;

ç. To know the third parties, in Türkiye or abroad, to whom their personal data has been transferred;

d. To request rectification of their personal data if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately, and to request that this action be notified to the third parties to whom the data has been transferred;

e. To request erasure or destruction of their personal data where the reasons requiring its processing have ceased to exist, even though it has been processed in accordance with the KVKK and other applicable legislation, and to request that this action be notified to the third parties to whom the data has been transferred;

f. To request that the actions taken pursuant to paragraphs (d) and (e) be notified to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred;

g. To object to a result arising against the data subject through analysis of the processed data exclusively by automated systems;

ğ. To claim compensation where the data subject suffers damage due to the unlawful processing of their personal data.

Exercising the rights of the data subject

If, as a data subject, you submit your requests concerning these rights to our Company by the methods set out in the Personal Data Protection and Processing Policy published at narmet.com.tr/, our Company will conclude the request as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request. However, if the process requires an additional cost, our Company may charge the fee set in the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board. You may submit your requests under Article 11 of the Law, which governs the rights of the data subject, in writing to our Company’s address at Karpuzsekisi Mah. 47. Cad. No: 8/2 Hacılar / Kayseri, in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller.
